At Whitney and Son Seafoods, our goal is to make your job easier. We strive to supply you with the highest quality and freshest seafood available but that’s only part of our goal. We also strive to make your ordering process as smooth and simple as possible. We know that business owners, chef’s and kitchen managers are among the busiest people around so we will go above and beyond to make your ordering experience not only a pleasant one but quick and seamless. Our goal is for our customers to be able to quickly place their order and know that their products will be delivered on time, in excellent condition, and with a pleasant attitude. Mark S. Whitney, President, CEO
Mark’s Grandfather started Whitney and Son Seafoods in 1929, selling seafood in the Chicago, Illinois area. When he retired, Mark’s father continued the tradition and after years of careful consideration, he made a life altering decision to uproot his family and business, and move to Florida. Whitney and Son Seafoods, Inc., has been in the same, original location since 1972. Mark took over the business as President and CEO at age 25 and has never looked back, continuing to carry on the family tradition of supplying only the finest and freshest seafood, and striving for excellence in every aspect at Whitney and Son Seafoods, Inc.


Mark is active in several different charities, children’s hospitals, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Make A Wish Foundation and believes in serving his community.

 

 


Dave Metzler, Vice President
Dave joined his cousin Mark in the family business in 1980. Dave has come to know the seafood business inside and out from the ground up. There is nothing at Whitney and Son Seafoods, that Dave can’t do, whether it be running a delivery route, to cutting fish to the accounting office and human resources. Dave enjoys his work, always has a positive attitude and shares the same goals with Mark in continuously striving for excellence.

 

 

Mrs. Whitney, Accounting
Mrs. Whitney has been involved since day one when her husband, Mark’s father took over the business from his father. For many years Mrs. Whitney helped her husband run this business both in Chicago as well as after moving here to Florida in 1972. After turning the business over to Mark, Mrs. Whitney continues to stay on and oversee the Human Resources and Accounting departments.

 

 

Jenifer

Jenifer Santiago, Executive Sales Assistant
Jenifer has been with Whitney and Son Seafoods since 2004. She began her career here as an invoicing clerk and working weekends in our Retail Store. During this time, Jenifer gained a thorough, solid knowledge of the seafood business and all of the products we carry. Jenifer moved up to her current position of Executive Sales Assistant where she works directly with Mark Whitney on a daily basis. She enjoys spending time with her family and is currently attending college to persue a degree in Business management.

 

 


Chuck Billingsley, Sales Representative
Chuck began his career with Whitney and Son Seafoods in 1997 and continues to be one of our top Sales Representatives. Chuck brings to the table a very thorough knowledge of the seafood industry as well as being in tune with his client’s wants and needs which in turn allows them to operate their businesses more efficiently and successfully. Chuck is a native Floridian and he is a die hard Buck’s and Ray’s fan. Go Bucks! Go Rays!
